Home for Women and Children

 

The center caters the following services:

 

  • Social Services - aims to restore develop children coping capacity in the performance of her roles and functions as a productive member of her family and community. This includes counseling, casework, group work and other social work intervention.

 

  • Medical Services - provides physical examination, dental check up, clearance for sexually transmitted diseases and psychiatric evaluation and treatment.

 

  • Educational Services - coordination with the Department of Education through ALS (Alternative Learning System) the houseparent has undergone training from theDepartment of Education.

 

  • Maternal and Child Care Skills Development – focuses on environmental sanitation, self care of women, prevention of early childhood disorders, growth monitoring and promotion, immunization and nutrition.

 

  • Homelife Services – refers to provision of basic necessities such as nutritious food, beddings, facilities, development of values, modification of attitude and behavior and appropriate social skills, Therapeutic activities include: arts and crafts, daily chores and work assignments, recreational, sports and other cultural activities.

 

  • Residential Care - included temporary custody/shelter, food, clothing and personal care item.

 

  • Psychological Testing - resident undergo psychological testing and evaluation and treatment.

 

  • Productivity Skills Development  - includes practical skills development, shelter workshop subtracted job, leader and basic business management skills development (BBMSD) and capital assistance.

 

  • Spiritual Services – spiritual enhancement of the residents irregardless of spiritual affilitiation.

 

  • Legal Services - legal assistance has been provided to our residents through our provincial attorney and mediates in the legal proceedings.

 

  • After Care Service - the client will be discharge after assessment and collaboration of the multi disciplinary team to the social worker of their respective municipality who will continue the service being extended at the center and who will monitor and report the status of the client while at the community.
