CORE Shelter Program

BRIEF DESCRIPTION:  

     


Core Shelter Assistance Project (CSAP) is the program of the Department which provides for a typhoon resistant low cost housing / shelter units for disaster-affected families. The said families, who would organize themselves into neighborhood associations, will build their shelter units themselves using low cost materials.

The cost of assistance to be provided to each of family-beneficiaries is Php70,000. The said assistance will be used by the neighborhood association, solely for the construction of their respective core shelter units. The implementation of the CSAP is based on the following are the legal basis of the project:

 

A. Administrative Order No. 76 series 1998 -formulated to implement Core Shelter Assistance Project (CSAP) a program providing typhoon resistant low cost housing which affected people and families could built themselves using low cost materials.

B. Administrative Order No. 101 series 1998 – amendment to AO76. Provides not only structural requirements but also laid down the different components for its implementation such as social preparation, financial assistance, among others
