Governor Hernandez leads 1st PGL flag ceremony under his administration

        June 2 is not an ordinary Monday for the Province of Laguna as its newly-installed governor, Hon. Ramil L. Hernandez, led the first flag ceremony of the Provincial Government of Laguna (PGL) under his administration.
 
          The Cultural Center of Laguna inside the Provincial Capital Compound in Sta. Cruz, Laguna was filled with provincial/municipal/city elected government officials, PGL office heads and employees, and the family of Governor Hernandez showing their support to the new administration.
 
          After the parade of colors, Laguna Liga ng mga Barangay (League of Barangays) President and Ex-officio Board Member Lorenzo Zuñiga, Jr. gave his pledge of support on behalf of the 674-strong barangay chairmen of the province. He pointed-out that the Laguna the league will support his administration as part of their duties and responsibilities.
 
          Zuñiga was followed by Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator Valentin P. Guidote, Jr. who introduced Governor Hernandez.
 
          The governor welcomed the people present during the activity and acknowledged the guests including city/municipal mayors and barangay captains of Laguna. After the formalities, he asked for the cooperation of everyone for his administration.
 
          Governor Hernandez emphasized, “Pagkatapos ng mga nangyari, sumulong na po tayo…Ang pakay ko po ay para makapaglingkod sa probinsya, hindi po ako narito para sa politika (After everything that has happened, let us move-on…Serving the province is my purpose, I am not here for politics).”
 
          Moreover, Governor Hernandez assured everyone that programs of the previous administration which are beneficial to the Laguneños like the Laguna Health Access Program (Orange Card Program) and the Laguna Scholarship Program (Batang Jose Rizal Program) will be continued and will be further enhanced to serve more indigents.
 
          The governor also mentioned some of the major areas that his administration will look into, namely: good governance, health, education, industrialization, employment, peace and order, livelihood and cooperative development, eco-tourism development, and comprehensive transportation.
 
          Before the program ended, he once again asked everyone to cooperate with his administration and said, “Tulungan niyo muna ang isang tao bago niyo husgahan (Help a person first before judging him).”
