Work immersion program for senior high students

Provincial Management Information Systems Office

April 11, 2019

To help senior high learners from different schools of Laguna, the Management Information Systems Office (MISO) extended its workplace for the work immersion program, one of the requirements for graduation from secondary education.

The program consists of 80 hours or 10-day training, to help students experience actual office work, develop life and career skills, and prepare them to make the decision whether to pursue further studies or find employment.

Trainees are given lectures and hands-on practice in Photoshop, an imaging and photo editing software. Once they get familiar with said software, an exercise will be given to measure what they learned in the training.

The first batch of learners for 2019 consisted of thirty-six (36) senior high school students. Twenty-four (24) came from Systems Technology Institute (STI) and the other twelve (12) from Oogong Senior High School.

After the training, the students received certificates of completion and of participation for successfully completing the training. They worked under the supervision of MISO personnel namely Ms. Stephanie Grace C. Reyes, Ms. Rowena M. Palacol and Mr. Rodrigo N. Abasola.

The Provincial Government of Laguna headed by Governor Ramil L. Hernandez and MISO are aiming to equip the learners with proper skills and knowledge on Information Technology to prepare them for real life employment opportunities.

MISO is still accepting work immersions for senior high students and college students for on-the-job trainings.
