MISO Year-end Assessment and Evaluation 2018

Management System Information Office

   The Laguna Management Information Systems Office (MISO), under the Leadership of Mr. Jaime M. Garcia and the committed staff gathered for the office’s year-end assessment and evaluation on December 14, 2018 with particular focus on the accomplishment for the last quarter of 2018, and targets for the 1st quarter of 2019.

   The Technical Support Unit (TSU) repaired and maintained two IT equipment and 34 data network/internet connection of the provincial government of Laguna (PGL) ; provided 8 technical supports to the Serbisyong Tama Caravan project; conducted 124 technical inspections and delivered miscellaneous technical services.

   Moreover, TSU encoded, edited, and printed 119 PGL IDs; enrolled/re-enrolled 24 employees on the finger scanner for the Attendance Tracking System machine;  updated 2,697 logs of employees, responded to 140 change requests, 357 emails, and 114 phone calls for their daily time records (DTRs);  downloaded, backed-up, and uploaded DTR csv files.

   For the Scanning Unit, the team scanned a total of 83,898 pages of tax declaration of real property (TDRP), extracted and renamed  4,539 pages of TDRP from the Provincial assessor’s Office;  and chart typed, encoded, converted, and scanned RTH (Philhealth) Claims (LMC).

   On the other hand, the Training Unit facilitated immersion programs for 42 senior high school students; trained 15 DepEd ICT coordinators on Trainers Training Programmer, and 30 teachers on computer literacy; and reviewed 30 Alternative Learning System (ALS) learners for assessment and evaluation.

 

The Systems Development and Administration developed and implemented the following computer system software:

  • Implemented to various medical missions of Laguna Chest Center
  • Provided continuous system updates and bug fixes
  • Updated security for Data Privacy Compliance

  • Provided continuous support and monitoring for web attacks
  • Migrated to newer content management system
  • Updated security for Data Privacy Compliance

Test Analysis

  • Provided continuous support
  • Conducted 6-day advanced training to DepEd Dev Team

HRIS – Human Resource Information System

  • Provided continuous update and support
  • Updated security for Data Privacy Compliance

Procurement System

  • Provided continuous maintenance and backup support

For its 1st quarter 2019 target,  the Training Unit is set to conduct computer and Internet literacy courses for 15 out-of-school youth and employees; review 20 ALS students for assessment and evaluation, and facilitate immersion programs for 20 senior high school students.

 

The TSU on its part,  is expected to repair and maintain 70 IT equipment and 30 data network/Internet connection of PGL;  provide six technical support to Serbisyong Tama Caravan; deliver 30 technical services and conduct 90 technical inspections.

 

In addition to these are production of 100 PGL  IDs,; enrollment/re-enrollment of 24 employees on the ATS finger scanner; update 2,607 logs of employees, respond to 140 change requests, 357 emails, and 114 phone calls for DTRs.  Lastly, to download, back-up and upload 280 DTR csv files.

 

The Scanning Unit, on the other hand, has for its target scanning of 215,000 pages, and extracting 45,000 tax declarations from the assessor’s Office.

Hernandez, the MIS Office will continue to develop effective, efficient, and innovative use and application of Information and Communications Technology - to address the changing needs of the provincial government, and for better and quicker delivery of basic services to the Lagunenses that they so rightly deserve.
