Laguna Provincial Jail

The Laguna Provincial Jail’s (LPJ) first batch of eighteen (18) employees from the second shift (1500H-2300H) attended the five-day Jail Management and Treatment of Offenders (JMTO) Seminar from April 3 to 7, 2018 at the Administration Building. The seminar is in line with the approved Laguna Provincial Jail’s Plans and Programs 2018.

In the opening ceremony, Prof. Marino A Garcia, OIC-Provincial Warden inspired the participants with his quote “Anyone who stops learning is old. Anyone who keeps learning is still young.” Wherein, education is a continuous learning process. That is why he encouraged everyone to attend and finish the seminar. He also emphasized that the best noted weapon against errors is reason.

The training topics were Laguna Provincial Jails Organizational Duties and Functions, CSC Rules and Regulations, Republic Act No. 6713 otherwise known as Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees, including procedures in receiving and releasing of prisoners; escorting and transporting of prisoners; rehabilitation services, functions, duties and procedures; mission, vision and manual of operation of provincial jails, jail duties and functions; and intelligence and investigation procedures.
