Laguna rules Alaska Fortified IRONKIDS Philippines

 Before heading to the Batang Pinoy Nationals, Laguna triathletes Zedrick James B. Borja, Leonardo Tyrone D. Macalos and Dash Aron S. Ramirez swept the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, respectively, of the 13-14 boys category of the Alaska Fortified IRONKIDS Philippines Second Leg held on May 12, 2019 at Vermosa Sports Hub in Imus, Cavite.

 Another Laguna triathlete, Trixie Hann M. Andaya ranked 1st in the 13-14 girls category of the same swim and run race.

All four medalists are member of the Laguna Triathlon Team to the 2019 Batang Pinoy National Finals set on August 25-31 in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.

In 2018, Laguna ranked third in the Batang Pinoy Nationals in Baguio City and will be awarded with 2 million pesos by the Philippine Sports Commission for its sports development programs.

This year, the province took home the Batang Pinoy Luzon Leg overall championship in Isabela and is set to fight for the overall championship in the national finals this August.

 On the other hand, following are the Alaska Fortified IRONKIDS Philippines Second Leg Finishers from the Capitol Swim Club (CSC):

Alaska IRONKIDS medalists and finishers from CSC paid courtesy call on Sports Development Officer and Batang Pinoy Delegation Head Gerardo S. Cantada on May 29, 2019 at the Provincial Sports and Games Development Office in Sta. Cruz, Laguna.

CSC Coach Johnny J. Yanong will also be coaching the Laguna Triathlon Team in the Batang Pinoy Nationals.
