Laguna Provincial Library website launching

Laguna Provincial Library
September 28, 2020

The Laguna Provincial Library (LPL) launched its official website on 10 September 2020 at 3:00 p.m. The website is a group effort with the Management Information System Office (MISO) that began in March 2020 before the COVID-19 pandemic.

After several months of hard work and dedication, the library website now serves as the digital door for the community to use the library’s services and access information resources in the new normal.

The LPL website is an addition to the existing library services for enhancement, as it evolved into an online brochure and lots of text about the library. It is simple and user-friendly, easier to navigate and organized and comes with additional features that library users will appreciate.

It gave way to more service-driven, incorporating online catalog and features such as chat and texting and other library online services.

The Web Online Public Access Catalog (WebOPAC) enables the user to access print and e-resources; searchable by keyword, title, author and subject. Library Online Information Service Assistant (LOISA) that will instantly answer researchers’ reference and bibliographic questions through Chat LOISA.

Through the website, LPL will be able and continue to provide researchers an easier way to access information in all formats that will support teaching, learning, research and personal growth.

It may take a long time to thank everyone who has contributed to the project starting from planning, designing, research, assessment, data analysis, coding, content writing, and editing to implementation.

The LPL would like to acknowledge Governor Ramil L. Hernandez for his support to the library and to its projects, Mr. Errylson A. Delgado from MISO who gave his effort to make this website to what it is through the support of senior programmer Mr. Roi Vinson Abrazaldo and Officer-In-Charge, Mr. Jaime M. Garcia, and to the library staff.

Above all to the Lord Almighty for giving the strength and perseverance to develop and implement the project despite the pandemic, all for the learning benefit of researchers in the province of Laguna.

Content throughout the library website will be constantly updated with helpful information for the better use of researchers.
