Field Agricultural Extension Services-Office of the Provincial Agriculturist
July 27, 2020

The Field Agricultural Extension Services-Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (FAES-OPAg) conducted rice seedlings transplanting, aimed to execute advanced technology in rice farming using the rice tranplanter machine for farmer-adaptors in Mabitac, Laguna on July 20, 2020.

This activity is a follow through of the implementation of improved technology for rice farming that was introduced in Mabitac, in partnership with PhilRice and PhilMech, where a six-hectare demo area was prepared on June 29, 2020.

On the other hand, in response to the need of the fisherfolks in Brgy. Balimbing, Nagcarlan, Laguna, a total of 2,500 tilapia fingerlings were given to fishpond owners Mr. Niño Bueno and Mr. Cesar Suazo.

Awarding the fingerlings were Assistant Provincial Agriculturist Lydia B. Estrada and Provincial Fishery Coordinator Mr. Ernesto A. Jara, held at the Demonstration Farm in Brgy. Calios, Sta. Cruz, Laguna on July 21, 2020.
