Laguna Provincial Jail

Accomplishments

The decreased on inmates population is highly noted which means the Office of the Provincial Warden help a lot the Provincial Government cost cutting programs saving millions of pesos in terms on expenses for gasoline / supplies / subsistence / travelling expenses / power consumption and over time pay.         Such decreased on inmates population is a great achievement of the Provincial Jail office.  It is incomparable to the other Provincial Jails and BJMP jails and City and Municipal jails whose their inmates population trend is tremendously increasing.

    

From the 2004 to date the Laguna Provincial Jail maintain ZERO ESCAPE PLAN,  prevent any disturbances, NO RIOT exercises happened, INSTEAD, all inmates are seems satisfied how the LPJ management cared, assisted, protected and secured them within the premises of LPJ.

 

The Laguna Provincial Jail is spearheading DEPED Alternative Learning System with MRS. LUCIANA CORTEZ as ALS coordinator.  Last 2004, the LPJ Alternative Learning System (ALS) was adjudged as the second most outstanding Literacy Program wherein the Provincial WARDEN and the GOVERNOR ELECT EMILIO RAMON "E.R." EJERCITO ESTREGAN were recipient of several awards from the DepEd authorities held in Antipolo City. Year 2010, the same program won the MOST OUTSTANDING LITERACY PROGRAM wherein eighty-four (84) Elementary inmates students graduated and their graduation ceremony was done at the LPJ training school.

 

 Year 2011, Mrs. LUCIANA CORTEZ, the ALS coordinator was also candidate for most outstanding Literacy Program  in the national level category.

 
As of this date July 7, 2011, there was a total of 22 learners for the basic levels. Level 1 has a total number of 15 learners, Level 2 on the other hand has a total number of 15 learners and Level 3 has a total of 12 learners, and 3 learners for Special Education (SPED).

Since COL. CESARIO M. PEREZ (Ret) assumed command of the Laguna Provincial Jail, sustained/rigid implementation of the security procedures, jail rules & regulations for which resulted as follows:
