New Laguna Sangguniang Panlalawigan building breaks ground

 
STA. CRUZ, LagunaGovernor Ramil L. Hernandez led the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the new Sangguniang Panlalawigan Building of the Provincial Government of Laguna on 23 October 2017.
 
Located at the provincial capitol compound, the 2-storey infrastructure will be built in two stages: Phase 1 covers structural components and rough-ins that will commence on the third quarter of 2017; while Phase 2 is scheduled to be finished by the end of 2018.
 
The ground floor will hold 13 spacious rooms for the board members, two spare rooms, and a common/public restroom; on the second floor will the Office of the Vice Governor, Office of the Provincial Board Secretary and staff, be the session hall, three function rooms, and a common/public restroom.
 
Assisting the Governor in the ceremony were Vice Governor Atty. Karen C. Agapay and Senior Board Member Ruth Mariano-Hernandez (2nd District); Board Members Carlo Almoro, Jose Mari Carait, Abigail Alonte (1st District); Pursino Oruga, Leeanne Aldabe (2nd District); Dante Amante, Alejandro Yu (3rd District); and Joseph Kris Benjamino Agarao, Rai Ann San Luis (4th District), in the presence of department/unit heads, chiefs of hospitals, and provincial government employees.
