More treated mosquito nets distributed to Lagunenses

Provincial Information Office

August 28, 2016

In his determination to ensure the health and safety of his constituents, Gov. Ramil L. Hernandez continued to distribute treated mosquito nets, this time to 476 recipients during People’s Day at the Governor’s Extension Office in Brgy. Halang, Calamba City.

The said mosquito nets will serve as protection from mosquitoes carrying the deadly dengue virus, whose bites that may cause the development of dengue hemorrhagic fever.
Gov. Hernandez emphasizes the vital importance of environmental hygiene practices particularly in the surroundings where the mosquito can use as breeding grounds, like containers that hold clean and stagnant water.  Examples are flower vases and pots, unused tires and bottles, among a few.

PSWDO chief Mr. Ernie Montecillo, BM Ruth Mariano-Hernandez and Laguna Action Center head Mr. Rommel Palacol assisted in the distribution.
