Laguna YDA conducts Disaster Volunteer Training

CALAMBA CITY, LagunaOne of the priority programs of Governor Ramil L. Hernandez is an efficient and effective disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM) in the province of Laguna.  In line with this, the provincial government’s office of Youth Development Affairs (YDA), headed by Mr. Marlon V. Mangahas, organized the Community Youth Disaster Volunteer Training recently held at Monte Vista Resort in Brgy. Pansol, Calamba City.

The activity was participated in by one hundred thirty-eight (138) young people who willingly went through the training to be able to help others when calamities or disasters strike the province.  Governor Hernandez commended them for their commitment to share their time and effort in helping out during calamitous times, and acknowledging their spirit of volunteerism as a sign of being responsible and productive citizens of the society.

The DRRM training for the youth is ongoing and will cover all the municipalities and cities of Laguna. (PIO Laguna)
