Laguna celebrates Buwan ng mga Bata 2017

STA. CRUZ, Laguna – Governor Ramil L. Hernandez joined the celebration of Buwan ng mga Bata 2017 with the theme “Bata: Iligtas sa Droga!”  recently held at the Laguna Cultural Center.  The event is in alignment with President Rodrigo Duterte’s campaign against illegal drugs. The objective of the celebration is to disseminate information and raise awareness, especially in young minds, on how to avoid these dangerous substances, and measures to protect children from them.

Successfully organized by the Laguna Provincial Council for the Protection of Children, highlight of the activities for the day was the Poster Making Contest participated in by LGU’s Children Association of the municipalities of Alaminos, Bay, Cavinti, Mabitac, Majayjay, Paete, Siniloan; Sweet Angels Kids Foundation; Autism Society of the Philippines; and Still Water Kids at Home for Women & Children.

Also in attendance were the Office of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, Philippine National Police-Laguna, DepEd; and offices from the provincial government such as Provincial Health Office, Budget, Treasury, Nutrition, Provincial Planning, Youth Development Affairs, and Social Welfare & Development.
