Gov. Ramil Hernandez supports Organic Agriculture

 

CALAMBA CITY, Laguna - Governor Ramil L. Hernandez  supported  Organic Agriculture in the province of Laguna by providing the allotted fund of PhP 2.7M and additional PhP 600,000.00 a year which is one of the priorities of his 8-Point Program under  Agricultural Development and Food Security. This was discussed during Governor Hernandez’s live interview guesting at  “Radyo Natin Laguna” 106.3 FM Station in Calamba City on July 18, 2018.

Governor Hernandez also emphasized the adoption of Republic Act 10068-Organic Agriculture Act of 2010 through Provincial Ordinance No. 55 Series of 2016, Creation of Provincial Local Technical Committee on Organic Agriculture through Executive Order No. 28, Series of 2014 that is being  implemented in the Provincial Government of Laguna (PGL).

He also mentioned some of his programs and projects which include Green Revolution for Laguna Household (Gov. RLH), an organic community based garden and technology demonstration site; establishment of Laguna Center for Organic Agriculture (LagCOA); conduct of Laguna Organic Agriculture Congress and Farmers’ Field School on Organic Agriculture (FFS-OA);  and  Fermented Fish Amino Acid Production seminar.
