Gov. Hernandez joins first PNC virtual meeting

As Chairman of the Provincial Nutrition Committee (PNC), Governor Ramil L. Hernandez joined PNC’s first virtual meeting on July 13, 2020 at 2:00 pm via Zoom video conferencing. He   gave an inspirational message to the committee and reiterated that the Nutrition program should be given priority, and could be used as a preventive measure against COVID-19.

 

Different topics were discussed such as activities to be held during the 2020 Nutrition Month, Status of Barangay Nutrition Scholar (BNS) Program, Accomplishment Report of nutrition–related programs from January to June 2020, and  Plan of Activities  for July to December 2020, KATROPA (Kalalakihang Tapat sa Responsibilidad at Obligasyon sa Pamilya) Orientation for Male Employees, and Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation Protocol (MELLPI-Pro), the new and revised nutrition evaluation tool.

The Nutrition Month theme was also discussed especially the theme “Batang Pinoy, SANA TALL… Iwas stunting, SAMA ALL!” with the sub theme “Immune system palakasin, tamang nutrisyon ating sundin “Iwas ALL din sa COVID-19.”

The meeting was attended by different member agencies of the PNC.
