Accomplishments

The Office would like to express its continuing commitment to give our best efforts to keep working  for the realization of the office’s MISSION and VISION in consonance with the Provincial Government’s K2 Kinse Kumpleto Serbisyo Publiko.

  TAX MAPPING

 
               Ten (10) Tax Municipalities:   Cabuyao, Calauan, Kalayaan, Los Banos, Mabitac, Pakil, Pila, Rizal, Sta. Cruz, & Victoria.

                 Note:  Most of the above-mentioned municipalities were under Foreign-Assisted Projects such as  MDP1,  MDP2,  and    

                 MDP3  (Municipal Development Project 1/2/3) of the then Ministry of Finance.  The Provincial Government did not share

                 in the Project Cost.

   TAX MAPPED MUNICIPALITIES wherein the Provincial Government shared in the Total Project Cost:  3-Municipality

                 B A Y              =   P172,500.00

                 B I Ñ A N        =   P877,185.00

                 NAGCARLAN =   P395,475.00

                Note:  The Provincial Share is equivalent to 20% of the Total Cost only.  60% was catered by the National Government and

                the other 20% was catered by the Municipal Government concerned.

   UNFINISHED TAX MAPPING PROJECTS  Due to Financial Constraints  -  To date,  the Municipal Assessors of the concerned

                municipalities are working out to finish the project using their respective regular budget.  Initially these municipalities were

                granted financial assistance by the Provincial Government in the amount of P225,000.00 each. The activity started 2003 :

 

                Luisiana - 52% completion       Pagsanjan - 68% completion     Pangil -  70% completion     Siniloan - 49% completion 

 

   PROVINCIAL TAX MAPPING PROJECTS LAUNCHED on January 21, 2008 that formally started August of the same year. These

               Six (6) Municipalities were granted financial assistance by the Provincial Government of Laguna in the amount as follows:

                                                 ALAMINOS   -  P1,177,400.00                  CAVINTI    -  P1,240,050.00

                                                 L I L I W        -  P1,341,550.00                   LUMBAN   -  P1,000,300.00

                                                 MAJAYJAY   -  P1,497,052.50                   PAETE       -  P   960,487.50

               The amount cited  herein are  equivalent to  70%  of the  Total Project Cost.   The  30%  was  loaned   out  to  the  said

               municipalities payable in three (3) years upon completion of the project without interest.  The project is still at the stage

               of completion.  Funds originally allocated for the project were already exhausted and there is a need for additional

               funding to answer for the remaining unidentified properties.

   NON-TAX MAPPED MUNICIPALITIES:  Four (4) Municipalities:  (1) Famy,  (2) Magdalena,  (3) San Pedro,   (4) Sta. Maria.

 

 APPRAISAL & ASSESSMENT

Appraisal & Assessment Activities:  Number of Requests for Appraisals received:  July 2010 - May 2011 = 23 requests

Number of Appraisal Activities Completed:  July 2010 - May 2011 = 14 completed and 9 pending completion.

GENERAL REVISION OF REAL PROPERTY TAX ASSESSMENTS - an activity that should be conducted once every three (3) years pursuant to Section 219 of Republic Act 7160 otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991.

The office was commended for being the only province in Region IV-A and perhaps the only province nationwide that was able to conduct General Revisions for three (3) consecutive times (1993, 1996 and 1999) since Republic Act 7160 became effective in 1992.
