Programs & Projects

 

         The EskolaR ng Laguna under the K-2 Kinse Kumpleto Serbisyo Publiko Kontra Kahirapan at Gutom is one of the pilot Programs of Gov. Jeorge “E.R.” Ejercito Estregan that caters to about 3,388 active scholars for Academic Year 2010-2011 all over the province with P5,000.00 financial assistance to every qualified scholar per semester. Graduates for Academic Year 2010-2011 numbers to 802 scholars.


        There are several Health Assistance Programs that are being implemented by the Provincial Government of Laguna thru Office of the Provincial Administrator in collaboration with the Laguna Provincial Hospital and other district hospitals and the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office.

  1. Regularly twice a week Medical/Dental Mission – conducted in depressed Barangays of the Province
  2. Availment of  discounts on medicines of the Charity Wards patient’s final billings. (A maximum of P1,500.00 on medicines as per hospital’s policy)
  3. Emergency Cash Assistance thru PSWDO (AICS) Indigent patients who has to undergo immediate blood transfusion, dialysis, CT scan, etc are referred to PSWDO.
  4. STL Cash Assistance Program – referrals to PSWDO for further assistance as the case maybe relative to the degree of the needs they are into (chemotherapy) or huge hospital bills.
  5. Preparation of Letter-Referrals to government and private hospitals for indigents’ assistance/needs or accept as charity patient. Ex. PGH, St. Lukes Hospital, Lung Center, Heart Center.
  6. Preparation of letter-referrals to Government Agencies extending financial assistance for indigent patients, like for example PCSO, Senatorial/Congressional Initiatives, etc.

       Also, a continuing Program of the Provincial Government of Laguna absorbed by the present administration of Hon. ER from former Governor Felicisimo T. San Luis administration, as per SP kapasiyahan Blg. 57 and promulgated effective January 1, 1991. The burial/financial assistance is extended to the nearest family/relative of the deceased barangay officials who died in time of their service or incumbency. The Punong-Barangay will received P12,000.00 cash assistance plus P3,000.00 burial assistance while for Barangay Tanod will receive P10,000.00 financial assistance and P 2,000.00 burial assistance. Every barangay is allotted with 20 Barangay Tanods who are registered in the Registry of Barangay Tanod in their Municipality so that they can avail the assistance from the PGL with the corresponding document required in government accounting and auditing procedures.

      Special continuing program that started during the administration of former Gov. Felicisimo T. San Luis on September 1988. A Memorandum of Agreement was entered between the Provincial Government of Laguna represented by Gov. Felicismo T. San Luis and Laguna Lake Development Authority (LLDA) represented by Gen. Manager Miguel D. Lopez with main purpose of helping, developing, creating livelihood to underprivileged to improve the life and social living of Lagunenses. With the initial capital of Two Million Pesos (P1M from LLDA and 1M from PGL). The project got started in form of Loan Assistance extended to responsible individual, family or association/cooperative with minimal interest based on their loan and livelihood project. KSL Program is also extended to the employee of the Provincial Government of Laguna and some Municipalities. At present, this program has capitalization of P 11 M and Networth of 32M.

       Serves the public during times of emergency, calamity, insurgency, scenes of crimes, disaster and other fortuitous events by relaying instant messages and follow ups to concerned barangays, municipalities/cities or individual/group volunteers response team. Also conduct trainings for proper radio communications handling for barangay/municipal stakeholders.

    Reservation for official function, activities and events are requested and approved by the Office of the Provincial Administrator. Private functions of private entities are governed by Rules and Regulations embodied in the Provincial Ordinance No. 1, S. 2011 Rental Fees and other dues.
