PVO Rabies Information Campaign Intensifies

    The Provincial Veterinary Office of Laguna (PVO) is continuously conducting information, education and awareness campaign on rabies in the province. The campaign aims to educate the public on Republic Act 9482, also known as the Anti-Rabies Act of 2007 which focuses on what is rabies, its prevention, proper handling of dog bites and responsible pet ownership. 

    As of 20 September 2016, a total of 3,036 participants composed of Grades 4 to 6 pupils, high school students, barangay officials, health workers and residents, and civic organizations like Oblate Alliance of Two Hearts of Calauan, Laguna were able to attend the said information campaign. The participants came from 13 schools and 20 barangays in the province.
 
    For the remainder of 2016, there are still other scheduled info campaigns in other barangays of Laguna.
