Provincial Peace and Order Office hosts flag raising ceremony

​On Monday the 6th of November 2017, the Provincial Peace & Order Office (PPOO) headed by Ms. Maricar A. Palacol hosted the weekly flag raising ceremony at the provincial capitol Time Plaza.

​Mr. Angelito Presoris, the master of ceremony started the program with an acknowledgment of all the department and unit heads, and introduction of the members of staff and their respective assignments, and the head of PPOO.

​The ceremony started with an invocation led by Mr. Randie Tobias, followed by the singing of the national anthem led by Mr. Jayson Aquino in coordination with the Provincial Capitol Band. Panunumpa sa Watawat was initiated by Ms. Allen Maneja followed by Mr. Randie Tobias who guided the employees in reciting the Panunumpa ng Kawani mg Gobyerno.

​Ms. Palacol then presented the accomplishments of the office from January to October 2017. Highlights of the report included the quarterly conduct of the Laguna Peace and Order Council Meetings (LPOC) and the Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council Meetings (PADAC) that aims to focus on the peace and order situation of the Province of Laguna; launching of MASA MASID Program that aspires to spread the widest information on illegal drugs among local officials; and the Community Mobilization Project that was launched by the Laguna Provincial Police Office that seeks to facilitate and empower the community to fight their common problem particularly on peace and order.

The report was followed by a slide presentation of the activities as reported by Ms. Maricar Palacol. To end the report, she informed everyone that the Provincial Peace and Order Office remains firm to continue its mandate with the utmost commitment in the promotion and maintenance of peace and order and public safety in the province of Laguna.
