Provincial Administrator convenes meetings with PGL officials

Office of the Provincial Administrator
September 12, 2016

Provincial Administrator Atty. Dulce H. Rebanal presided over the first regular monthly meeting with department and unit heads of the Provincial Government of Laguna (PGL) on Monday, the 5th of September 2016, convening two more meetings on September 6 and 7.

Admin Rebanal said that the regular scheduled meeting is a good chance to monitor what is going on in each department, and to improve the services and programs being offered to the public.

First agenda of the said meeting was the recommendation of each head who among their casual, job order, and contractual employees will be renewed since their contract will expire on September 30. Recommendation letters have to be submitted on September 13. This is to ensure who among the employees are productive, and who deserve the wage increase in the year 2017. This is to streamline personnel to meet limited funds for personal services due to the salary increase.

Second is the regular submission of monthly activities of each department to the Office of the Provincial Administrator before the start of each month starting September. They are also reminded to submit the accomplishment report and weekly updates of their offices through news articles. Also discussed in the said meetings were major and minor concerns of each department that need to be addressed.

The first meeting was composed of chief of hospitals. It was followed by department clusters 2 and 3 on Tuesday composed of offices promoting peace and order and security, disaster management, social services, education and administration. On the last day, Wednesday, were clusters 4 and 5 who are overseeing economic and environmental concerns.
