PPDCO and PCDO participate in the Appropriate Paper-Based Technology Training

With the full support of Governor Ramil L. Hernandez, the Provincial Government of Laguna (PGL) participated in the “Appropriate Paper-Based Technology” (APBT) training during the “Support our Community and Family-based Inclusion Project” facilitated by the Ikapitbisigmo Kaunlaran ng Maykapansanan ng Laguna held at the Municipal Hall Annex of Sta. Maria, Laguna on October 24-26, 2017.

The event was conducted in cooperation with the National Council for Disability Affairs, dedicated to equipping persons with disabilities (PWD) new technology that may promote sustainability in the livelihood of every PWD. The APBT is an upcoming innovation in paper wastes currently promoted by Ms. Nelia De Jesus, former Chief-Technical and Cooperation Division of the National Council for Disability Affairs.

The PGL representatives, namely, Provincial Cooperative Development Officer (PCDO) Edwin Bautista and Mr. Bonifacio Pascual, along with OIC-Provincial Planning and Development Coordinating Office (PPDCO) representative Project Development Officer I Joshua Federick Vitaliz, also acted as judges on the product development training outputs. Awards were based on durability, beauty and creativity.

Led by Ikapitbisigmo leader Loren Reyes, the training participants were welcomed by Santa Maria Vice-Mayor Virginia P. Tuazon in behalf of Hon. Antonio M. Carolino, Mayor of Santa Maria, Laguna.
