Paskong Pinoy Dekada 60

Laguna Provincial Hospital - Majayjay District Hospital
December 29, 2016

Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful.
-Norman Vincent Peale

On December 22, 2016, LPH- Majayjay District Hospital (LPH-MDH) held its annual Christmas party hosted by the institution’s nursing department with the over-all chairwoman Mrs. Gertrudes de Villena. The said event took place in front of LPH-MDH with a theme “PASKONG PINOY DEKADA 60.”

This year, LPH-MDH decided to go back in time and experience the rich and flamboyant 60’s era. It was indeed an exciting celebration of colors, music and good vibes. The Chriscat Balmeo's Catering Services provided delicious food and extravagant decorations. The music was provided by the 20/20 Band PH and Audiomix to make it a complete Back to the 60’s package.

The program started with snacks followed by a mass headed Fr. Marlou Marasigan. Then,Dr. Judy A Rondilla, Chief of Hospital officially started the celebration with an opening message.

Every department (Administrative Department, nursing service Department, and Medical Ancillary Department) prepared a presentation to entertain each and everyone especially the guests.

One of the highlights of the celebration was the Christmas Tree making contest in which each department was required to build a 7-ft Christmas tree from recyclable materials which can be found in each department. The Christmas trees were then judged by the invited guest. After much deliberation, Medical Ancillary Department won, followed by Nursing Service Department then Administrative Department.

The night was filled with excitement as the host provided games which were actively and competitively participated by all the staff. The host made sure that nobody goes home empty handed by providing more than enough prizes on the raffle and the yearly tradition of giving holiday ham to each personnel. In the spirit of Christmas, the staff also conducted exchanging of gifts. This is also an annual activity that highlights the bond among members of LPH-MDH.

The 2016 Christmas Party was a major success as it left beautiful smiles, warms hearts and the happiest memories to everyone. It was an event that not only celebrates a single day but rejoices the triumphant year of the LPH-MDH. The institution will continue to move forward to another year being a bigger blessing to others by providing utmost service with a joyful heart.
