The Laguna University (LU) together with the Philippine News Agency(PNA) and News Information Bureau (NIB) under the Presidential Communication Operations Office (PCOO) of Malacañang signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) as partners for internship at the Governor’s Office, Laguna Provincial Capitol, Sta Cruz, Laguna on February 15, 2017.  The signing was undertaken to formally make LU as an On-the-Job Training Program partner of PNA and NIB in the next three years.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was a partnership between the Provincial Government of Laguna under Governor Ramil L. Hernandez, Interim President and Chair of the Board of Regents (BOR) of LU, and Atty. Ana Maria Paz R. Banaag, PCOO Assistant Secretary for Operations and Special Concerns.

Valdez, and Jhornadette R. Villasenor who were all lucky to be the first batch of interns from Laguna University to ever train in Malacañang.

This partnership will benefit deserving LU students by giving them this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be trained under the supervision of skilled news reporters and writers and be exposed in the wondrous world of statesmen and politics. Aside from the priceless knowledge and experiences that they can acquire, the internship offered by Malacañang also includes exclusive exposure to different branches of the government plus tours and lectures.
