MISSION

To provide comprehensive quality health care committed to service excellence and continuous performance improvement as health care service provider and remain attentive to the needs and well-being of an individual.

HISTORY OF HOSPITAL

The passage of the Republic Act No. 6111 in 1975 created the Philippine Medicare Care Commission. After four years, this agency concealed the earnest request of Mayor Felix Gozo, who accidentally donated the land to Majayjay Medicare Hospital to extend its health services to the rempote town of Majayjay, Laguna, thus on June 4,1979 the Majayjay Community Hospital was established at Barangay Talortor, 2.5 kilometers before reaching the town proper. A government primary hospital with 15 bed capacity caters primarily the residents of Majayjay and to the neigboring towns of Liliw and Magdalena Laguna. The administration of the hoospital was first headed by Dr. Reynaldo Mia and from 1983 several doctors took over when Dr. Mia was assigned in the central office of the Philippine Medical Care Commission. In 1987, he was re-assigned at the Majayjay Medicare and Community Hospital up to August of 1998 from then on a new chief of hospital was appointed administering the hospital up to present.

The operation of the hospital was geared towards the attainment of its general objective to strengthen health services to the residents of Majayjay and its neighboring towns. The hospital, now being under the wings of the Provincial Capitol of Laguna, the operation of the hospital (including budget, maintenance and purchase of equipment, medical supplies and purchase of medicines) is being taking cared of. The budget requested is subjected with the approval of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng Laguna.
