ORIGIN AND HISTORY
Luisiana District Hospital was built in 1969 by the virtue of Republic Act No. 4226. LDH is a 50 bed district Hospital, operating as a Level 1 hospital as per DOH licensing requirements. It is the core referral hospital of Highlands Interlocal Health Zone composing of 2 municipalities namely, Luisiana and Cavinti. It is located in Luisiana Laguna with the total land area of 988.18 square meters. It was devolved to the Provincial Government of Laguna in providing basic health services in accordance with RA 7160 (Devolution) of Local Government Code of 1991. It is 28 kilometers from Sta. Cruz the capital town of Laguna. It serves the population of 21,069 of Luisiana and 23,905 people of Cavinti and other neighboring barangays of Majayjay, Laguna.
